Maruti Jimny Rescues Mahindra Thar Stuck In Snow [Video]

We have been receiving reports of heavy snowfall in the mountains, and most of the roads are packed with a fresh layer of snow. While there are tourists who love to visit places like Manali to explore and enjoy the fresh snowfall, there is a section of enthusiasts who love to explore the snow-covered terrains in their capable SUVs. These people often travel in groups and face challenges. Here we have a video where a Mahindra Thar, which got stuck in the snow, was rescued by a Maruti Jimny.

The video has been shared by Small Town Rider on his YouTube channel. In this video, the vlogger and his friends were going on a snow drive in their 4×4 SUVs. They were prepared to face the worst situations and even had backup vehicles and recovery equipment with them. The drive was pretty smooth, but as the slope started getting steeper, the vehicles began losing traction. The Maruti Jimny was stuck on a slope and was unable to make enough traction to go up.

The wheels were spinning freely. To resolve this issue, the vlogger brought out the snow chains which he had bought for this trip. While all this was happening, a Mahindra Thar with RT tires was parked right behind it. The vlogger wrapped the rear wheel with the snow chain and then slowly drove the car up. The snow chain gave the rear wheels much-needed traction, and the lightweight of the vehicle also helped the vlogger get out of the tricky situation without getting stuck.

After the Jimny drove forward, it was the turn of the Mahindra Thar to continue; however, there was a small problem. The Thar had been sitting on the snow for too long, and the wheels were spinning freely. Even with the MLD in place, the Thar was not moving ahead. The car, even with RT tires, was not helping in this case. The only way the SUV was getting out was if any vehicle could pull it out.

The vlogger and his friends initially tried pushing the SUV to get it out, but the Thar kept on slipping to the left side of the road. The vlogger then took out the recovery rope and tied it to his Jimny. As the SUV was on snow, he was unable to pull the Thar hard. The snow chains started digging into the snow and even started throwing loose stones on the road underneath.

The vlogger then brought out the snow tracks and placed them in front of the rear wheels. Even that was not working initially. However, they started making progress slowly. After several unsuccessful attempts, one of the group members brought out a shovel and removed the snow lying in front of the front wheels. Then they placed the snow tracks under the front wheels and asked the vlogger to pull the SUV out. The vlogger slowly started pulling the SUV, and within seconds, the Mahindra Thar gained traction and was out of the snow. The only reason why the Mahindra Thar could not move forward was because it was parked on a slope, and there was not enough room for the driver to gain momentum and climb up.
