As part of this Velocity Edition, Maruti is offering a total of 16 accessories to change the way the SUV looks. Exterior accessories like an exterior styling kit (Grey + Red), door visor premium, front bumper painted garnish, ORVM cover, headlamp garnish, body side moulding, rear bumper painted garnish, illuminated door sill guard, rear upper spoiler extender, wheel arch garnish, front grille garnish, and back door garnish. The car also gets interior accessories like a red dash designer mat, NexCross Bordeaux finish sleeve seat cover (Alpha/Zeta), NexCross black finish seat cover (Delta+), interior styling kit (carbon finish), and 3D boot mat.

Maruti Suzuki had unveiled the crossover version of the Baleno as Fronx at the Auto Expo last year. The manufacturer did make several changes to give it a different identity. The car is even called the baby Grand Vitara because of the front-end design. The accessories that are part of the Velocity Edition are offered only with the Turbo petrol version of the Fronx. For those who don’t know, Maruti Suzuki brought back the BoosterJet engine with the new Fronx in India. It was discontinued from the Baleno as part of the BS6 transition.

The 1.0-litre, K-Series turbo petrol engine generates 100 PS and 147 Nm of peak torque. It is currently the only offering from Maruti to come with a turbo petrol engine. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. A 6-speed automatic transmission option is also available with this engine option. Other than this, Maruti is also offering the Fronx with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine. This is the same engine that is already offered with the majority of Maruti models in India. This engine generates 89 PS and 113 Nm of peak torque. This engine is available with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox option.

Maruti is also offering a CNG fuel option with the Fronx. CNG is available with the 1.2-litre NA variant. When compared to the petrol-only variant, the CNG version generates less power and torque as the engine is tuned more for efficiency. Fronx was launched 10 months ago and within this short span of time, the manufacturer sold 1 lakh units. At the moment, Maruti sells around 12,000-14,000 units of Fronx via Nexa dealerships every month. The price for a brand new Maruti Suzuki Fronx starts at Rs 7.46 lakh, ex-showroom, and goes up to Rs 13.13 lakh, ex-showroom. The Naturally aspirated petrol version of the Fronx has a waiting period of around 2 months while the turbo petrol version of the same is readily available.
