Toyota Rumion

Toyota has launched its version of the Ertiga in South Africa. They are calling it Rumion. Toyota has changed the front grille which now gets three horizontal chrome slats and a Toyota badge. At the rear, the only change is of the Toyota badge. There are no changes to the side profile.

Its interior is also finished in an all-black theme with wooden trim. In India, we get a beige theme for the cabin with wooden trim. A beige theme makes the cabin feel airier. The rest of the interior of the Rumion stays the same as the Ertiga.

Toyota has also not made any changes to the powertrain. So, Rumion is also offered with the same 1.5-litre petrol engine. The gearbox option also stays the same. According to the rumours, Toyota might also bring the Rumion in the Indian market. They already have the Toyota Glanza which is just a rebadged Maruti Suzuki Baleno and they also have the Urban Cruiser which is a rebadged Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. Toyota has also started exporting Belta which is a rebadged Ciaz. They might launch the Belta in the Indian market because they have already filed a trademark for the nameplate and the Yaris has also been discontinued.
