North East’s Richest Politician Arrives in Range Rover, Buys Maybach S680 Luxury Sedan [Video]

Gone are the days when politicians used to lead humble lifestyles and travel around in Hindustan Ambassadors issued by the government. Their choices have changed over the years, and many rich businessmen have also entered politics lately. Ngaitlang Dhar, or N Dhar, who is a member of the Legislative Assembly in Meghalaya, is one such person. He is, in fact, one of the richest politicians from the Northeast. A video of N Dhar recently surfaced online where he is seen arriving at a Mercedes-Benz dealership in a Range Rover Sport and took home a Maybach S680 luxury sedan.

The video has been shared by Sanjive Narain on Facebook. In this video, we see N Dhar entering the dealership premises in a Range Rover Sport. He is not alone. Just behind him, we see a lineup of expensive and exotic cars. His family arrives in cars like Lamborghini Huracan, BMW Z4 (older generation), and Toyota Fortuner.

The politician and his family enter the dealership and are greeted by family and friends along with the dealership staff. We also see several armed gunmen who had secured the surrounding. The family then goes in and sits down while all the paperwork is being completed. Mr. N Dhar has bought a brand-new Mercedes-Maybach S680 luxury sedan.

The S680 seen here is based on the current generation S-Class. Once the paperwork is done, Mr. Dhar and his wife take delivery of their new luxury sedan. The politician and his family check out their new ride. They check the comfort and features after sitting in.

Once they are all done with the celebrations, the car is slowly driven out of the dealership. The Lamborghini Huracan, Range Rover Sport, and other cars follow the politician.

Maybach S680

Coming to the Maybach seen here. As mentioned above, this is actually based on the S-Class sedan. It is for those who feel the regular S-Class was not luxurious enough. To start with, the S680 gets a longer wheelbase. The increase in wheelbase reflects in the cabin too. With a length of nearly 5.5 meters, the Maybach S 680 is currently one of the longest cars available for sale in our market.

It offers premium features like “doormen” by Mercedes-Benz. This innovative feature enables passengers to simply make a hand gesture to automatically close the door. Furthermore, the driver is equipped with a dedicated button to operate the rear doors.

Other features offered in the S680 include electrically adjustable seats, rear seat entertainment screens, a recliner function for all seats, a massager function along with cooled and heated seats, and so on. Most of the functions on this car can be controlled from the rear seat.

Maybachs have found many buyers in India lately. Many Indian celebrities and rich businessmen own Maybach SUVs and sedans. The Mercedes-Maybach S 680 is powered by a 6.0-liter turbocharged V12 engine. This engine generates a maximum of 610 Ps and 900 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission, and power is sent to all four wheels. This huge sedan also gets rear-wheel steering, which makes turning this yacht easier on our roads.
