Upcoming 2022 Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza: What the production version will look like

Maruti Suzuki is working on a new generation of the Vitara Brezza. Recently, the pictures of the upcoming compact SUV were also leaked online. Here, we have a rendering of the 2022 Vitara Brezza that is based on spy shots. The rendering is done by Shubhajit and the pictures are shared on his Instagram account.

The design has been heavily revised but the boxy body shape has been retained. Up-front there are all-new headlamps. There are sleek and use projector setups. It seems like there will be dual C-shaped LED Daytime Running Lamps. The grille is also new and uses a piano black finish. The bumper is also new and gets a large faux skid plate. There is also new fog lamp housing and fog lamps are also LED units.

On the sides, there are new alloy wheels and thick plastic cladding. Maruti is also offering roof rails which we do not think will be functional. At the rear, there is a flat tailgate. The split tail lamps have been redesigned. There are now much sleeker and use LED units.

It seems like Maruti Suzuki has removed the “Vitara” name and they will be calling it just “Brezza”. The spy shot was finished in a white paint shade but the rendering has been done in a dual-paint scheme of white body shade with black roof.

Maruti Suzuki will add a lot of features

The feature list of the current Brezza is lacking when compared to its rivals. So, Maruti Suzuki will be adding a lot of features to the 2022 Brezza. It will come with a new instrument cluster with a multi-information display. There will also be a SOS function. There is a possibility that Maruti also adds a 360-degree parking camera to the new-gen Brezza.

It seems like the steering wheel will be derived from the Swift. It will be a multi-function unit with leather wrapping. There will also be an electric sunroof and cruise control on offer. Moreover, there is a larger floating touchscreen infotainment system. It is expected to come with with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

This can be the same infotainment system that we have seen on the recenltly launched S-Cross. Moreover, Maruti Suzuki will use the same infotainment system and features in the upcoming Baleno Facelift also. We expect Brezza to have redesigned upholstery, new dashboard design and new Air Conditioning vents.

We can also see paddle shifters mounted behind the steering wheel. Maruti Suzuki will offer the 2022 Brezza with the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that we have see on the current Brezza.

It produces 103 bhp of max power and 138 Nm of peak torque. It will come with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. Till now, Maruti Suzuki has been using a 4-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. However, the new S-Cross debuted with a new 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox unit. So, there is a possibility that Maruti Suzuki might end up using the same 6-speed unit for the Vitara Brezza too.
