In a bold move, the South Korean automotive giant Hyundai has revolutionized its design philosophy by introducing the all-new fifth-generation Santa Fe. The all-new Santa Fe which once used to be the flagship SUV from the brand in its Indian lineup has recently been unveiled in the international market and it looks just like the Exter micro-SUV which was also recently launched in India. The all-new Santa Fe has been radically redesigned and it looks extremely macho and will command a huge road presence.
Hyundai has always been known for its innovative approach to vehicle design, and the fifth-generation Santa Fe is no exception. The all-new fifth-generation Santa Fe now stands tall, exuding a sense of power and dominance on the roads. The bold, straight lines, reminiscent of an American mammoth SUV, are common elements seen in both the new Santa Fe and the newly launched Exter in India.

The most apparent design similarity between the Santa Fe and the Exter is the H-shaped headlamps and taillamps, which have become a signature feature for both vehicles. This striking design element enhances the visual appeal and creates a captivating presence on the road, distinguishing the Santa Fe and Exter from their competitors. The front bumper air intakes are shaped in the letter “H,” further emphasizing the connection between the two siblings. The wraparound D-pillar and the upright stance are other design elements shared by both the Santa Fe and Exter, giving them a sporty and aerodynamic profile.
On the inside the all-new Santa Fe’s cabin, oozes modernity and luxury. The dashboard, resembling that of a Range Rover, boasts premium elements making it feel like a luxury SUV. The center dash features a curved display accompanied by a 12.3-inch driver’s display, reflecting a futuristic and tech-savvy vibe. The floating center console offers two wireless charging pads, numerous connectivity ports, and convenient cupholders for enhanced comfort.
Additionally, Hyundai has made a conscious effort to use sustainable materials throughout the cabin, including wooden inlays, Nappa upholstery, and suede headliners, aligning with the brand’s commitment to eco-friendly practices. The Santa Fe has been designed with the practicality of American buyers in mind. The Santa Fe boasts foldable second and third-row seats, providing flexible space options to accommodate varying passenger and cargo needs.
As of yet, the company has not announced any information regarding the powertrains of the upcoming fifth-generation Santa Fe. However, according to reports it will come available with a 2.5L turbo-petrol engine that will most likely provide 277 horsepower and 421 Nm of torque. Plug-in hybrid and mild hybrid powertrain choices should also be available when the vehicle is released. The exact launch dates for the Santa Fe have not been released by the company but most likely this model will not make it to India as the last Santa Fe launched in the country was a massive failure.
