Used DC Avanti sports car available for sale at affordable prices: Cheaper than Honda City and Volkswagen Virtus

Used DC Avanti

Owning a sports car is often a dream for many. Growing up, many of us had posters of sports cars and supercars in our rooms. While some of us managed to convert this dream into reality, there are still many who dream of owning an expensive sports car one day. When we talk about sports cars, brands like Lamborghini, Ferrari, and BMW come to mind. We did have an Indian brand that attempted to make an affordable sports car: the car was Avanti, manufactured by DC. This sports car is no longer available for sale, but there are several well-kept examples available in the used car market if you wish to buy a used one. In a video shared by My Country My Ride on their YouTube channel, not one, but two DC Avanti sports cars are available for sale at an affordable price. Used DC Avantis are available at a price cheaper than a brand new Honda City or Volkswagen Virtus.

In this video, the vlogger speaks to the owner of the used car dealership about the cars in his garage that are up for sale. The first things that catch his attention are the two red-colored DC Avanti sports cars. The vlogger was interested in them and asked for details. The owner of the used car showroom mentioned that, in addition to these, they also have another DC Avanti, which is yet to reach the yard. Details of the third Avanti are not shared in the video, but it is finished in an orange shade.

The used car dealer mentions that the DC Avanti was the most affordable sports car available in India, which was also applicable in the used car market. Expensive cars depreciate pretty fast, and the DC Avanti is no exception. The video doesn’t show the cars in detail, but the vlogger mentions that both cars are well-maintained and look great on the outside.

There were no visible dents or scratches seen on the body panels in this video. There is not much information available regarding the interiors. It is hoped that the previous owner would have maintained it well. When buying a used car, it is extremely important to get the car inspected by an authorized service center or a workshop. Returning to the DC Avanti, it was powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine that generates around 250 Bhp and 340 Nm of peak torque, mated to a manual gearbox.

Both cars seen in the video are 2016 models. Details related to the odometer readings and registration are not mentioned in the video. The asking price for each DC Avanti seen in the video is Rs 15.50 lakh. This is actually cheaper than a brand new Honda City or a Volkswagen Virtus sedan. Many people might find these deals quite tempting, but we should let them know that maintaining a car like the DC Avanti is not going to be an easy task. One of the reasons why these cars are available at such an affordable price is because it was never a popular car among enthusiasts and didn’t have much brand value. Just like any other sports car, the DC Avanti is also not very practical.
