Bollywood Actor John Abraham rides BMW M1000 RR superbike at Moto GP India Grand Prix [Video]

John Abraham is a popular actor and movie producer from Bollywood. He is known for his love of motorcycles. He is one of those actors who popularized motorcycles among youngsters in the country. In the past, we have come across several videos and pictures of expensive motorcycles that John owns in his garage. He doesn’t just own superbikes but also has a decent collection of sports cars and SUVs. He is one of the actors who received training from the California Superbike School, which is a very popular institution. India was hosting MotoGP for the first time, and how can a bike enthusiast like John himself stay away? John not only came to watch the race, but he also rode the official safety bike of MotoGP on the Buddh International Circuit (BIC).

There are videos circulating online that show John riding a BMW M1000 RR safety bike on the Buddh International Circuit. BMW Motorrad India shared pictures of John Abraham with the bike and wrote, “The first-ever MotoGP in India was an absolute thrill ride! Our hearts are still racing from the incredible success of this unforgettable event. At BMW Group, we are beyond proud to have played a part in this exhilarating journey. Our powerful BMW M2 and BMW M1000 RR took the lead as safety vehicles, ensuring the safety and excitement of every rider on the track. But that’s not all! We had the honor of having the automobile aficionado himself, @thejohnabraham, join the party and take a few breathtaking laps on the BMW M1000 RR. Take a look.”

John Abraham can be seen posing at the start line with the safety car parked right behind him. The official safety cars at MotoGP were from BMW. The brand has been a continuous partner of MotoGP for over two decades. The MotoGP safety bike was actually an M1000 RR, a performance version of the S1000 RR available in the market. The M1000 RR is available for sale in India and is priced at around Rs 55 lakh, ex-showroom. The safety bike used here has minor changes, such as running on a GP shift. The motorcycle had carbon fiber bits on it and was slightly lighter than the regular S1000 RR. It is powered by a 999-cc, inline 4-cylinder engine that generates 212 Bhp and 113 Nm of peak torque. The motorcycle has a top speed of 314 km/h.

The actor is seen riding the motorcycle on the track. According to the post, John took a couple of laps on the motorcycle. In the video, it does not look like John was going too fast. That could probably be because there was only one safety bike at the event. Other than the M1000 RR, BMW had the M5 CS, M3 Touring, and M2 as safety cars at the event. John Abraham has a Yamaha V-MAX, Honda CBR1000RR-R, Yamaha YZF-R1, Ducati Panigale, MV Agusta F3 800, KTM 390 Duke, BMW S1000RR, Aprilia RSV4 RF, Ducati Diavel, Suzuki GSX-1000R, Suzuki Hayabusa, Yamaha RD350, and Yamaha FZ V2. He also owns custom-made motorcycles like Rajputana Customs Lightfoot and Bull City Akuma in his garage.
