2024 Kia Sonet facelift launched at Rs 7.99 lakh

A few days after unveiling the facelifted Sonet compact SUV, Kia has now announced the prices of the entire lineup of the updated SUV. The facelifted Kia Sonet range now starts at Rs 7.99 lakh for the base-spec HTE petrol-manual variant and goes up to Rs 15.69 lakh for the range-topping X-Line diesel-automatic variant. Here are the prices of all the variants of the new Kia Sonet facelift:

1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol manual:

  • HTE – Rs 7.99 lakh
  • HTK – Rs 8.79 lakh
  • HTK+ – Rs 9.90 lakh

1.0-litre turbocharged petrol iMT:

  • HTK+ – Rs 10.49 lakh
  • HTX – Rs 11.49 lakh
  • HTX+ – Rs 13.39 lakh

1.0-litre turbocharged petrol DCT:

  • HTX – Rs 12.29 lakh
  • GTX+ – Rs 14.50 lakh
  • X-Line – Rs 14.69 lakh

1.5-litre diesel manual:

  • HTE – Rs 9.79 lakh
  • HTK – Rs 10.39 lakh
  • HTK+ – Rs 11.39 lakh
  • HTX – Rs 11.99 lakh
  • HTX+ – Rs 13.69 lakh

1.5-litre diesel iMT:

  • HTX – Rs 12.60 lakh
  • HTX+ – Rs 14.39 lakh

1.5-litre diesel AT:

The Kia Sonet facelift arrived with a range of exterior and interior tweaks, along with a couple of new features, while retaining the powertrain options from the pre-facelift version. On the outside, the Kia Sonet facelift has received a new fascia comprising of a mildly-tweaked “tiger-nose” grille, a new set of all-LED headlamps, revised front and rear bumpers, LED connected tail lamps and a new design for the 16-inch alloy wheels.

The interior of the Kia Sonet facelift has also been tweaked with a new black and tan brown upholstery, with the compact SUV getting a new full-TFT instrument console and new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The cabin also gets a new design for the centre console and AC vents, single-pane sunroof, air purifier, wireless charger, ventilated front seats and automatic climate control with rear AC vents. With six airbags as standard across the range, the Kia Sonet facelift now comes with Level 1 ADAS in its range-topping variants.

The new Sonet facelift is being offered with three engine options across its lineup. The range-starting 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine claims 83 PS of power and 115 Nm of torque and is offered with a 5-speed manual transmission as standard. Then comes the 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, which is offered with 6-speed iMT and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmissions and claims 110 PS of power and 172 Nm of torque. The 1.5-litre diesel engine, which claims 115 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque, is available with three transmission choices – 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT and 6-speed automatic.

Offered in 11 colour options, the versatile lineup of Kia Sonet rivals the likes of Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite.
