In their attempt to lure in more buyers, a few Maruti Suzuki dealerships across the country have now started offering massive discounts on the new lifestyle off-roader Jimny. Recently, it has been announced by Mandovi Motors, one of the largest Maruti Suzuki dealerships from Karnataka, that all of the variants of the Jimny are now getting a Rs. 1 lakh discount. Prior to this, the company was offering similar discounts on the base Zeta variants.
Maruti Suzuki Jimny Discounts
According to a thread on Team-BHP on Maruti Suzuki Jimny, a picture of the offer from the dealership was shared. The picture stated that Mandovi Motors from Karnataka is currently offering a Rs. 1 lakh discount on the Jimny. It mentioned that the offer is valid till November 30th or till the stocks last. It has also been reported that the company is offering this discount as a Rs. 50,000 flat discount and Rs. 50,000 as a loyalty bonus.
It has to be mentioned that at the moment there is no information if this offer is available across the country or not. This offer could be dealer-specific, so if someone is interested in availing such a discount, they will have to contact their nearest dealership. Prior to this offer back in October, the company was offering the same offer on the Jimny, but it was only limited to the base Zeta variant. This time around, all of the variants of this lifestyle off-roader are getting this order.
Maruti Suzuki Jimny Powertrain and Variants Pricing
The newest lifestyle off-roader Jimny from Maruti Suzuki comes available in two variants in India – the Alpha and the Zeta. The company offers both of these models with the same K15B naturally aspirated petrol engine. Underneath the bonnet of the Jimny, this engine is capable of producing a maximum power of 104 PS and 134.2 Nm of torque. This powertrain comes available with 5-Speed manual and 4-Speed automatic transmission options in both Zeta and Alpha variants.
In terms of variant-wise pricing, the Zeta variant with the manual transmission is priced at Rs. 12.74 lakh. Meanwhile, the Zeta variant with an automatic transmission is priced at Rs. 13.94 lakh. The Alpha variant, on the other hand, is priced at Rs. 13.69 lakh for the manual variant and Rs. 14.89 lakh for the automatic variant. Additionally, the Alpha variant is offered in Dual-tone manual and Dual-tone automatic variants as well, which cost Rs. 13.85 lakh and Rs. 15.05 lakh.
Why Are Dealerships Offering These Discounts?
A lot of people will be questioning as to why the new Jimny is getting such massive discounts. The answer for this is that despite being a capable off-roader, the Jimny is still a niche product. This SUV is primarily bought by off-road enthusiasts, and hence the sales have slumped a little bit. Another reason could be the end of the year. A lot of carmakers and dealerships offer discounts at the end of the year to meet their sales targets.
