After making its customers wait for quite a long time, Tata Motors will finally be unveiling its newest electric car, the Punch EV. The all-new electric iteration of this popular micro-SUV is set to be unveiled tomorrow, and the company has recently shared two new teasers. Apart from the teasers, fresh details about the forthcoming Tata Punch EV have been shared online. Like the Nexon EV and Tiago EV, the Punch EV will also be offered with two different battery packs, offering LR (long range) and MR (medium range) models.

The new teasers have been shared on Twitter by the official Tata.ev handle. For those who may not be aware, the company recently launched its new brand of Tata.ev for its electric vehicle subsidiary Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd. The new teasers, although not showing the vehicle, hint at a number of qualities that this new electric vehicle will offer.

As mentioned, one of the most important details that has been recently revealed is that the company will be offering two different battery pack options with the Punch EV. The first option will be a smaller 25 kWh battery pack. This battery pack will most likely be offered with the MR (medium range) variant of the SUV. The exact range offered with this battery pack has not been revealed; however, the company could be offering it with a 330 km claimed range.

Additionally, the company will also be offering the Punch EV with a bigger battery pack. This variant will be the LR (long range) variant, and it will boast a 35 kWh battery pack. Most likely, this variant will be able to do around 460 km on a single full charge. As for the platform, the upcoming Tata Punch EV will be based on the brand’s tried and tested ALFA platform with Tata’s Gen 2 EV architecture. As per the reports, it will most likely come with a liquid-cooled battery and a permanent magnet synchronous motor, which will be placed on the front axle.

Coming to the design details of the Tata Punch EV. On the outside, the electrified version of the ICE Punch micro-SUV will get a revised front fascia with a closed-off grille and a full connected LED DRL light bar on the front. It will continue to boast the split headlamp design but will come equipped with a new front bumper. From the test mule spy shots that we have seen so far, the new EV will come with a charging point on the front of the vehicle. Apart from this, the car will also get a set of new alloy wheels and will come with disc brakes on all four corners.

Coming to the details from inside the cabin, the new Punch EV will get a slightly more modern and updated layout. The main highlight of the new interior will be the addition of a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a floating design. The lower trim levels will come with 7-inch screens. Additionally, the car will also get ventilated front seats, a jeweled drive selector from the Nexon EV, a digital instrument cluster, an electronic parking brake, and the new illuminated Tata logo two-spoke steering wheel.
